Brik Venue
I’ve known Kassadi + Ben since we were in middle school – which is about how long they’ve been dating, too! Their love story has stretched across time and distance; they stayed together even while apart in college, and as soon as they’d graduated, they became inseparable again. It’s been a joy to watch their love story play out, and it was truly an honor to get to play a part in it.
Kassadi’s great love (aside from Ben!) is Disney, so of course it had to play a major part in her design! Instead of table numbers, she assigned each table a Disney movie, and when it was time for its occupants to hit the buffet (provided by Beyond the Box), DJ Michael Blake played clips from that movie on a big screen across one of Brik’s beautiful white-brick walls. It was so different and fun, and one of many details that made the day uniquely theirs.
Vella Nest designed the rich, bold winter florals, which filled the room up with color and added beautiful accents to the cake from London Baker and the coffee bar from Chic Coffee Events. That color palette of reds and plums and purples was complemented by the wedding party’s attire, which was styled to perfection by Gloss and Curl. Every moment – from the morning’s mimosas to surprise late-night snacks from Whataburger – were captured with BeatBox Portrait’s signature artistic touch.
